2026 Internships

In 2026, we are launching internships for high school and college students to expand opportunities for skills-based learning in conservation and regenerative agriculture.

If you are interested in experiential learning related to conservation-based careers, regenerative agriculture, food and forest systems, soil science, agroforestry, tree nursery management, watershed health, policy, civics and democracy, permaculture, and/or local climate solutions, we encourage you to apply.

High School Internship:

  • Semester: Through the Flexible Pathways program, we will co-design a unique semester-long program where you earn credits across various subjects. Requirements include between 3-10 hrs of virtual and hands-on learning, dependent upon your learning objectives and demonstrated learning.
  • Summer: Similar to the semester-long program, you can earn credits in a number of subject matters while gaining hands-on skills-based learning. Credits earned depend on the hours committed to the internship and the demonstrated learning.
  • Project-Based: If you have a project in mind related to any of the above subject matters, we can work with you from concept design to implementation for either community service hours or a capstone project. Examples include: installing a riparian buffer, food forest or rain garden at your school or in your community.

College Internship:

  • Semester: We will work with you to co-create a semester-long program focused on your area of interest.
  • Summer: If you are looking to gain skills in a conservation-related field or subject matter, we can craft a part- time summer internship that meets your learning objectives.
  • Project-Based: If you have a project in mind and need support from a leader in the field of conservation, regenerative agriculture, and/or local climate solutions, feel free to reach out.

All credits earned are comparable to college or university requirements.

Internships are not paid at this time.

Open enrollment for semester, school year-long, or summer programs. No prior experience in conservation or related field required.
